Keith Bishop creates handmade writing instruments as functional art and exquisite masterpieces for pen collectors. Inspired by his private pen collection, Keith uses contemporary ideas of traditional pen making combined with unique artistic techniques and materials. He has exhibited his work in galleries and art festivals in North Carolina and Georgia. Keith collects materials from around the world to create exotic instruments that are truly one-of-a-kind.
He has created instruments from exotic woods, acrylic resins, various stones, various metals, sewing thread, and clay while continuing to explore new artistic materials. He is currently working with the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to commission pens for the foundations’ charity efforts. Keith lives in High Point, North Carolina with his family.
