
With over 20 year’s experience, Michael S. Troop’s photography ranges from fashion editorial to fine art and erotica. In 1995, joined the Army to serve his country. During military service, Troop was injured in combat and forced to return to civilian life.
To be with his son, Michael continued to reside in Germany where he published his first international book, Hot Babes, a collection of fine art erotic nudes bringing Michael into the spotlight as an innovative photographer who “approached the erotic with a classical eye.” His most recent contribution of erotic nudes was to “Boobmania”, an anthology published by Edition-Skylight.
Michael Troop is a contributor to the international exhibit, “A Book about Death” originally shown at the Emily Harvey Foundation in NYC and his current collection, “The Forgotten South” is on display at Horizon Gallery in Savannah, Ga. In addition, Michael’s fine art was chosen as a runner up in the International Photographic Master Cup for 2010.
Michael returned to the United States after 14 years in Europe and suddenly faced culture shock. The experience has focused Michael Troop’s efforts on capturing the beauty of the American culture which is often overlooked within the confines of daily life.
Troop was formally trained with degrees in Art, Art Design, Art history and Photography from Rheinhardt College , LaGrange College , DeKalb Community College , Atlanta College of Art and the Art institute of Atlanta . To keep up with the times and technology, Michael primarily photographs with digital equipment though the majority of the effects and color shifts are captured through his classical approach to photography.
