Sidney was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He received a degree in architecture from Georgia Tech. His architectural career was in Atlanta until his retirement in 1998. Sid and his wife Shirley moved to The Landings in 2000.
His painting experience began with his move here. He has attended workshops given by Rebecca Willis, Pat Lusk, Wayne Chambers, Charles Reid, Janet Rogers and Carlton Plummer. Awards include an honorable mention in the Judge’s Class at the 2004 LAA Spring Art Show and first place in watercolor at the 2005 LAA Spring Art Show.
In regard to his painting, Sid states, “The fluidity and transparency of watercolor appeals to me and I am aspiring to develop an impressionistic style.
